SET O Dependant - English language requirement

Post by kiran3313 » Tue Feb 05, 2019 4:20 pm

Hi guys,

I was filling in my wife's ILR application form online and it indicates below list of documents.
What I am confused about is Point 2 & 6 in the list. My wife has already given the english test and I have mentioned this in the application form. Why am I still being asked for NARIC letter in point 6?
My understanding is either should work but both not mandatory.

Any thoughts please?

1. Mrs xxxx's Life in the UK Test pass notification
2. Consent form for the Home Office to request verification checks on Mrs xxxxx for joint accounts or third party support
3. The language test certificate for Mrs xxxxxx to prove the level of English language required
4. Evidence of xxxxx's immigration status in the UK
5. Declaration signed by xxxx to confirm consent for the Home Office to request verification checks
6. NARIC letter that confirms the qualification meets or exceeds the recognised standard of a Bachelor's or Masters degree or PhD in the UK AND confirm the level of English to which the degree was taught or researched
7. Current Biometric Residence Permit

If you indicated in the form that she has a degree, then it would ask for NARIC. You should have only chosen ONE option for English not both.

Also, please don't tag onto other members topics, it is unfair to posters.
