Settled status

I arrived in the UK in 2015 under Surrinder Singh route and was granted 5 year residence card but left UK in mid 2017 for a short holiday but didn't return until after 18 months. I returned in 2019 and applied under EU settlement scheme, I was granted pre-settled status not settled status which will expire 2025. I am now divorced, my ex- husband and I married in march 2013 and divorced January 2023. My question is when I apply for settled status will I have to wait for 12 months or I can apply right away to British citizen.

If you are not married to a British citizens at the time of British citizenship application, you have to wait 12 months on settled status.

Do I let the home office know I'm divorced now or I should wait until when I apply for settled status? I came back 19th January I have stamp in my passport so do I have to apply in 2024 January or do I wait until 2025 when my pre-settled status expires?
