Thank you so much CR001, your answers are very helpful.CR001 wrote: ↑Mon Jul 06, 2020 10:14 pm1. Ilr is settlement. Ikr is not a "visa". A settlement visa is also know as the spouse visa
2. Yes, SET M. Yes you have to apply online.
3. She can apply no sooner than within 27 days of the 5th anniversary of the date she entered the UK on a spouse visa (not a 6 month fiance visa). So can apply from 1st Feb 2021.
4. Date if application is the date you submit and pay the online form and NOT the biomterics appointment date.
5. No, IHS is not payable for ILR.
6. Your supporting evidence must not be older than 28 days on the date if online application. It is the accrual date you get paid, not a calendar month.
7. Yes. Passports and BRP card to the appointment.
8. Yes, that is the whole purpose of ukcvas.
Ukcvas is a third party agent for identity check and biometrics only. It is not ukvi caseworker staff at the centres.About the ukcvas appointment, is it only bio's that be taken?
Super priority is a service by UKVI and not the biometric centres. If the service is available, you will get the option to choose it in the inline form process before you pay.I ask this because i will hopefully take the fastest route to get a quicker result.
No, it changed in November 2018. All Ukvi premium centres were closed when the new ukcvas sopra steria process came in.I know before you used to book an appointment and go through the application with an officer
is that not the case now?

I am preparing settlement for my wife after 5 years and I have a few questions, hoping I can get help with the answers please
1) Is it the SET (M) form that needs completing online for spouse visa? Yes
2) Is there a IHS fee to pay for settlement? As already answered, NO
3) I will be applying 28 days before 5 years in UK, when they ask how long lived in UK, should I put 4 yrs 11 months or 5 years? 5 years
4) We have children who are British, at extension after 2.5 years we had to provide proof of their nationality, birth certificate, passport, letters addressed to them to proof they live with us. There have not asked for them for the settlement form. Do we have to provide them this time? No, you can simply state in cover letter that the children are BC
5) Similarly for extension they asked for the marriage certificate, but they have not asked for it for the settlement for. Do you not have to provide it this time? Not asked for but you provide it. The generic checklist of evidence or documents not exhaustive.
6) Do wage slips from employer need to be stamped and signed? I did get them stamped at extension but I am working from home and it will be difficult to ask them to stamp and send them back to me. Statement by employer indicating theyare genuine suffices and electronic signatures acceptable.
7) I don't understand question of 'who you live with' My wife lives with me, I'm her husband.
Our home is jointly owned by myself and my brother. Do I and my brother need to send a letter confirming my wife is allowed to live at the property?
They ask for ID, can my brother just send a copy of his driving licence or the information page of his passport? or does it have to be every page of passport?
8 ) Did you meet English requirements as part of indefinite leave, question - Do I answer Yes or No?
my wife passed A1 and A2 for previous visas and now she has passed B1 test.
9) They ask for 6 Corresponding letters over 30 months so 1 every 5 months. But I will need to send 8 letters, so should they be every 4 months? or still every 5 months and the single addressed letters to be the same month? Evenly spaced 3-4 months
10) Are you able to book the UKVCAS appointment before you submit your visa form? if so how please? No
Also my local UKVCAS office is closed due to covid, I'm I able to go to any other one? Yes
What do you need to take to the UKVCAS appointment? Passport, BRP card, documents about the appointment, originals of other documents used in support of application. Take in electronic form e.g. scanned USB.
If I can get help with answers to these questions it would be much appreciated
Thank You in advanced
All relevant documents in support of the application if for self upload to be done before the appointment at UKVCAS. However, there has being instances of an error or the other e.g. missing documents from what applicant believed they uploaded, finding out that documents are not clear or legible etc, the last chance to correct this will be at the appointment but this can mot be done if you don't have it readily available at hand hence why advice to go along with.Imgettingold wrote: ↑Wed Jan 06, 2021 11:03 pmThank You for the reply AmazonianX
Can you help with the following please-
10) We will take everything with us but I thought all the documents would need to be uploaded before the appointment? Do we still need to take our documents to show them even though they've already been uploaded?
I heard they may even use previous biometrics and we wouldn't have to go to a UKVCAS appointment, that true?
Thank You in advance
