Settlement UK Visa delays and escalating

I have found that there is not much of a thread for applications made in 2017. We applied for my husband's visa in March and have yet to receive a reply from UKVI it has become the norm (it seems like it) to get a decision later than the guidelines they provide.

Around this time it can be busy. But the waiting for a decision is worse than the collecting of evidence. I hate the job that I am in but am too afraid to change employers and jepordise our application but I had read on here someone had escalated their visa so in hopes that I can escape from this stressful situation I have escalated the case and hope for an answer very soon.


Has anyone else gone through the escalation process and how long did it take for you? Was it effective?

Ps our application was a non-priority application.
