Settlement Visa for Child of Settled Parent on Spouse Visa

Hi forum,

I’m Indonesian nationality here in the UK on Spouse Visa and would like to bring over my 13 y.o Indonesian son from my previous marriage to settle with me.
My questions are:
1. What form that I need to fill in, is that appendix 2 or appendix 1?
2. Do 13 y.o child needs to do IELTS A1 life skill test? Because if I remember right, no IELTS test required for child under 18 y.o
3. What is the minimum financial requirements for this visa?

My ex husband is passed away, sole responsibility is proved by his death certificate.

I'm in quite similar circumstances and working on my daughter's visa application now. I've got advice from the forum but still not 100% sure. Could I please ask who the sponsor is in your case, you or your husband?

The sponsor is the British spouse or ILR holder spouse and not the parent in a spouse visa.

I’m Indonesian nationality here in the UK on Spouse Visa from September 2017, and would like to bring over my 14 y.o Indonesian son from my previous relationship to settle with me. I’m a sole parent for my son that he is now being looked after by my mother. The reason he didn’t apply for the settlement visa together with me is because we didn’t have adequate accommodation, but we now have bought a house that can accommodate him. My husband income is also meet the threshold. I need some advice about what all the documents I need to prepare.

Thank you, for now I need some advice about the complete list of documents, as I’m concerned it’s perhaps slightly different to the list of documents when I applied for spouse visa. Thanks for your help.

It is the same documents, ie financial/income evidence, proof of adequate accommodation etc. Everything except the English requirement as children are not required to provide that.

The child will get the same visa duration as you with the same expiry date you currently have.

Thank you, another question, in regards of the proof of adequate accommodation, what are the documents we need if we own the house? We were renting the house when we applied for my spouse visa, so in my understanding the documents will be different. Thanks again

Not unless there are multiple occupants living in the property.
