Skilled worker Depended visa extension

Post by nav84 » Wed Nov 19, 2025 7:58 pm

I’m looking to renew a dependent visa for my brother and his children, but they don’t have BRP cards (came Apr 2025). While completing the application via this link (https://www.gov.uk/skilled-worker-visa/ ... d-children), there is a section asking for current immigration status. However, the dropdown menu doesn’t include an option for dependents of Skilled Workers. Any advise on how to proceed, and whether this application route is appropriate for individuals without a BRP card?

The applicant is on a dependent visa linked to a Skilled Worker. The issue arose because their application was not submitted at the same time with the Skilled Worker’s visa renewal.

On the drop down it has:.

- Tier 1 (Entrepreneur)
- Tier 1 (Investor)
- Tier 2 (Minister of Religion)
- Global Business Mobility (Including Intra-Company Transfer)
- Start-Up
- Innovator
- Global Talent
- Student
- Skilled Worker (Including Tier 2 General)
- International Sportsperson
- Graduate
- Temporary Worker
- Scale Up
- High potential individual
