Skilled Worker Visa (Dependents application)

Post by Arz0011 » Mon Nov 06, 2023 12:25 pm

Hi,

I have received my Skilled worker visa. My company has helped me to apply (through lawyer) and they have paid all the necessary fees for it. Now, I wish to apply for my dependents visa and they have asked me to pay for the dependents I wish to bring. I find the fees for the lawyer way too expensive and wish to apply it myself. Hence, I need some guidance and wish not to complicate it for myself.

Does anyone have step-wise guidance on how I can apply for the dependents? I can see I will need to maintain funds in my account before I wish to apply for them. I have 3 children and my wife for whom I wish to apply. How much do I need to maintain in my account? Do I need to inform my company that I am applying for my dependents or can I apply straightaway? Do I need to mention CoS in their application?

Help is much appreciated.
Regards,

Check your CoS, if your employer has ticked Yes to question about maintenance then you do not need to maintain any funds in account.

Yes tou cam apply by yourself.

Yes. It has been marked Yes for maintenance by the sponsor. But does that mean I will need to inform them (Sponsor or their lawyer) before I apply for my dependents about my dependent application. Do i need to mention CoS anywhere in their application?

You dont have to inform the sponsor when you apply for your dependents. They are dependent on ypu, not your sponsor.

Yes, the form will ask for your cos etc details.

Yes, your CoS and the sponsor license of your employer will be asked for in their application.

Hi,

I have got the sponsorship and Im working 40 hours at one company. For the extra 20 hours can I work at some other place (other company but same job -SOC code) without causing trouble when I apply for the ILR?
