Spouse Extend Visa

Post by dhamphiir » Wed Oct 06, 2021 6:57 pm

Can someone help with this question
1. My wife is working in NHS Hospital as Nursing assistant and she is going to start Staff Nurse job next month as she has already got her PIN to work as Staff Nurse
After I make IHS payment, can I get refund for it?

2. How many picture of us (myself and my wife) need to be there for applying Spouse Extend Visa?

3. Which English test do my wife to give for Spouse Extend visa? Is it A2?

4. If answer is A2 for Q3, then is Pearson PTE Home or Pearson PTE Academic is approved test centre for English test?

Thank you

See link below, point 2.

2. How many picture of us (myself and my wife) need to be there for applying Spouse Extend Visa?
None. You are required to submit 2 years evidence of cohabitation in both your names, from 3 to 6 different sources, spread evenly for every 3 to 4 months.
3. Which English test do my wife to give for Spouse Extend visa? Is it A2?
Yes, but she can do B1 too.
4. If answer is A2 for Q3, then is Pearson PTE Home or Pearson PTE Academic is approved test centre for English test?
Check the UKVI approved test provider list!

So, if she has been working for 5 and half months in Hospital prior to applying Spouse extend Visa then she is valid for IHS refund?
2. How many picture of us (myself and my wife) need to be there for applying Spouse Extend Visa?

I do have 3-4 months cohabition from 3 different sources

I have checked that website and Trinity College London and other are quite far from my house and Pearson PTE Home or Academic is nearest to my address.
So Pearson are approved test provider?

If they are on the list then yes. You shouldn't do Academic though as that is likely for a different visa category.

Remember that UKVI can refuse an application if you don't have the correct test. Travelling for a Trinity or IELTS might be worth it in the long run, especially if she does B1 which can be used for ILR and citizenship.

Home office give 2.5 years extension visa and I think B1 is valid for 2 years?
I can use B1 after 2 years for ILR and citizenship?

You an use an expired English test IF it was used in a previous application AND it is on the current list (at the time) when you apply for ILR and citizenship.

My wife’s Spouse Visa will expire on 25/11/2021 and can I apply Spouse Extend Visa on 18/11/2021?

I am planning to apply late because her work at NHS hospital will be 6 months on 17/11/2021 and hopefully by 6 months of work at hospital make her eligible for IHS refund

You can apply till the last day of validity of present leave. Do not keep it to last minute though, proceed with filling the application and gathering your documents.

If yby job letter you mean employment letter no it is not required to be within 28 days however if you mean letter from your employer it is part of specified evidence and should be kept within/not older than 28 days generally speaking.

Is this Cohabitation of 2 years enough?

August 2019 (Tenancy Agreement)
October 2019 (Utility) - Joint Name
December 2019 (Utility) - Joint Name
January 2020 (Council Tax) - Joint Name
May 2020 (Utility) - Joint Name
September 2020 (Utility) - Joint Name
November 2020 (Utility) - Joint Name
January 2021 (Utility) - Joint Name
February 2021 (Bank Statement)
April 2021 (Bank Statement)
June 2021 (Utility) - Joint Name
October 2021 (Utility) - Joint Name
October 2021 (Bank Statement)
We don’t have joint name in our Bank. So we will be providing our own Bank statement.

B. Do I need to add more Correspodence Address in between January 2020 to May 2020 and May 2020 to September 2020?
