Does your spouse have a valid visa at present? If not, he won't be able to apply to switch to a spouse visa within the UK and will have to apply from his home country for entry clearance.LehLeh wrote:Hi Casa,
We are married and my spouse used to be on a student visa but it's a complicated issue now.
Please advise me on the type of visa my spouse will get if my spouse depend on me.

No crystal ball today CasaCasa wrote:He won't qualify for a visa in the UK. As CR001 has advised, he will have to return to his home country and apply for a spouse visa from there. If successful he will be issued with a 30 month visa, giving 30 months limited leave to remain. The visa fee is £956 and he will have to pay the £600 NHS surcharge.
A1 level pre-entry English test also required.
What application is currently with the Home Office awaiting a decision? Do you have any children together?
