Moroccan Marriage Certificate

Post by pipsaholic » Thu Mar 21, 2024 5:32 pm

Does a moroccan marriage certified certificate recognised in the UK? Google says once you have this cerfiticate there is no need to register your marriage in England?

So, would the morccan marriage certificate fulfill one of the following criteria when applying for the 2 year spouse visa?

from gov.uk website

What you’ll need to prove
You must be able to prove one of the following:

you’re in a civil partnership or marriage that’s recognised in the UK
you’ve been living together in a relationship for at least 2 years when you apply
you are a fiancé, fiancée or proposed civil partner and will marry or enter into a civil partnership in the UK within 6 months of arriving
you’ve been in a relationship for at least 2 years when you apply but you cannot live together, for example because you’re working or studying in different places, or it’s not accepted in your culture
You also need to prove you:

have a good knowledge of English
can financially support yourself and your dependants
If you do not meet these requirements you may still be able to apply for a visa or extend your permission to stay if:

you have a child in the UK who is a British or Irish citizen or has lived in the UK for 7 years and it would be unreasonable for them to leave the UK
it would breach your human rights to stop you coming to the UK or make you leave

If it is recognised in the country where the marriage took place, it will be recognised in the uk.

There has never been a requirement to register a foreign marriage in the uk.

Spouse visa alternatives

Post by pipsaholic » Thu Mar 21, 2024 5:49 pm

After being rejected from a UK spouse visa what are the alternatives for a married couple? If they had a legal/civil marriage in a country the UK recognises.

I'm sure under an article under the human rights laws you can apply as husband and wife have the right to live together in either country.

Carers allowance exemptions

Post by pipsaholic » Thu Mar 21, 2024 5:57 pm

I understand your exempt from the financial requirements if you get any social security beneifts.

However you still need to satisfy accommodation and also have no recourse to public funds.

Can someone explain this in more detail?

Do you need your own place? Living with parents unacceptable? Living in a caravan/boat unacceptable?

Previous Spent Convictions

Does a spent conviction 8 years ago need to be declared to the home office or only unspent convictions? When applying for a UK spouse visa?

Why was the visa refused?

Nope, not so. You dont have to live in the uk, you could live elsewhere.
