Spouse Visa - Outside of the UK

Hi everyone,

I am applying spouse visa for my wife outside from the UK, and I am now preparing a support letter. Actually, I was divorced few years ago, so just checking, should I need to write full details of my previous marriage breakdown in the letter? or just submitting a divorce certificate along with the application should be fine?

Divorce cert should be fine. If any other details are required, the ones in the form should suffice.

Thanks for clarifying. Is there a section/ question in the online form to fill the details of previous marriage breakdown?

You simply need to answer where and if it asks about previous marriage for you and your current wife. You will be required to submit evidence of divorce to prove you or both of you were free to marry, ie the divorce decree absolut.

Ukvi do not care in any capacity why you got divorced. Unsure why you believe the details need to be shared!!
