Spouse visa renewal unable to meet financial requirement

Hi,

My wife's spouse visa expires 25/09/2022 and I am looking to renew the visa. However, I do not meet the financial requirements as I changed jobs. Currently my total yearly salary for the year end August 21 is amounting to £15,872. Is it possible for my wife to return to Pakistan and apply for a renewal on the 1st December 2022 when my salary will be £19,331. To stay on the 5-year route or is this not a possibility. Is my only option the 10-year route.

Technically, she can go back and apply from anywhere. But she'll be starting the 5 year route afresh. Previous 2.5 years out the window.

Or she can stay and be put on the 10 year route.

Will the 10 route start from this application or will the previous 2.5 years count towards it. Also if I wanted to switch from 10 year to 5 year route in december would I have to pay all the fees again? Or just some specific fees.

Starts from the new visa if granted, on the 10 year route.

Also if I wanted to switch from 10 year to 5 year route in december would I have to pay all the fees again? Or just some specific fees.

All the fees again. There is no discount.

Does this include the ihs fees? Is there a link where I can view all potential fees

The fees are £1048 for the visa and £1560 for the IHS.

If i apply for the 10 year route and pay the full ihs for 2.5 years and 3 month later switch to 5 year route will I receive a refund on the 2.2 years unused ihs?

You can request one, but there is no guarantee you will receive one.
