Spouse visa restrictions due to coronavirus

Post by mash786 » Sun May 03, 2020 8:53 am

Hi all,

This is my first post on this forum in a hope to get some advise on the situation I am currently facing.

I am spouse of a British national and my visa have been extended last year. I am due to apply for ILR in Mar 2021. However I left UK for holidays in first week of Mar this year and currently stranded in Pakistan with my family. I was due to go back to UK on 31/03 but Stupid are keep suspending our flights. I traveled with Turkish Stupid and they have extended their suspension till 28 May. There is a good chance they may even further extend this suspension.

My question are:

What would be the maximum number of days I can live outside UK being on spouse visa?

As I am currently on spouse visa and one of close family member told me that I shouldn't be outside the UK for more than 90 days and this is going to be the case unfortunately so what will happen in my situation. Will I be refused an entry in the UK?

Lets says If I end up living outside the UK more than 3 or 4 months then will it have any consequences on my future ILR or naturalization application?

Please advise.

There is NO absence limit for spouse visa holders.

Nonsense. There is no 90 days limit restriction on absence.

No. Note also that the requirements for ilr and citizenship are different as they have their own separate rules and requirements.
