Hi guys,
So I applied for my spouse to join me in the UK end of October and sent all the documents. However before I sent the documents I was told that I can send the documents and I will be sent a payment link for the IHS payment. However today I called to see my update status and they told me a decision had been made and they will email me the response. I’m excitement I told my spouse and he told me he got a call to come and collect his passport and that they also could not tell him if he had been granted a visa or not. My question is I haven’t received a link to pay for the IHS and they are already telling my spouse to come and collect his passport. Does this happen that you collect your passport before you get a IHS link? Please help me I’m sooo panicking now.

Are you fully sure to have applied for correct category? Normally without paying the IHS fee the spouse visa application won't be proceeded/submitted.

Yes I applied via VISA4Uk and it didn’t direct me to the IHS link and the ukvi people told me that send everything and you will get a link to pay for the nhs surcharges and I never got an email but a decision was made and hubby got told to come collect passport but they won’t tell him the deicison.
Is this normal. Cause I know for sure you can’t ge a visa without paying IHS right

You seems to have applied for correct categories but usually application doesn't proceed without IHS. However only In some cases especially none-British children then that link arrives later before any successful decision. I wish you all the best but do let us know the outcome but also be prepared for anything negative.

Proceed as in I can’t process an application at all right? Cause my friend who applied said they can’t process the application without the IHS and I escalated this to them 21st nov and they didn’t mention anything about it so I’m hoping it was included

I think you had spoken to their (UKVI) telephone operator who mostly are employed by outsourced agencies with no/little knowledge about immigration matters. I also suspect that you might have paid IHS which you might not remembering now. Anyways lets wait for Tommorrow.
