Super Priority Service - Spouse Visa Extension from within the UK

Hi there!

I've been completing my wife's visa extension under the spouse visa. We were working on the understanding / basis that the super priority service is available for this visa type. She is applying from within the UK.

However, when we tried to progress to payment / choose a service, the super priority service was not available: We are travelling on holiday from 17 December to 30 December. Her original visa expires 14 January 2025.

I have a few questions:

• Is this a bug on the application / website?

• Or is super priority not available (despite this being mentioned on the gov website)?

• Also, I understand that passports are no longer collected as part of the application; is this true?

• If it is true, does this mean that we can apply using the standard service now and still go on holiday?

1. It depends on capacity with UKVI. Some see the option at the times indicated in the topic link above.

2. Original passports are NOT submitted.

3. You cannot leave the UK while an application is pending if that is what you mean by holiday. Leaving the UK means that the application is automatically withdrawn and you lose the visa fee paid.
