I'm switching employment, moving from one tier 2 sponsor to another. I have already received Biometric Card for new employer. The Certificate of Sponsorship (CoS) start date is 1 July.
The start date on the COS was tentative and I was asked to wait for the BRP card issuance before notifying current employer. My current employer now wants me to stay till 31 July.
As my new CoS starts from 1 July, I understand that I am not allowed to work for my current employer after that date, however after speaking to my new firm's immigration advisors they have assured me that they I can work till 31 July if they inform the home office of my delayed start at the new employer.
Has anyone encountered this situation before. Will really appreciate any advice.
