My current T2G is due to expire on 9 Dec 2015 and I'm in the process of applying for an extension through my company's solicitors. A week ago I received an offer of employment from another company which I duly accepted and the new company is keen to get the ball rolling in terms of issuing a new CoS. Their advert (labour market test) will expire on 10 November, after which they'll be in touch to get information in order to process a new CoS. My only issue is that the original application for an extension of my current leave to remain will still be under consideration at UKVI by 10 November.
Surely the new employer has to wait before filing my new CoS until the extension of my current leave is approved? Also will the UKVI be ok with me making a change of employer T2 application immediately after getting approval for an extension with my current employer?
It is important to get the extension on my current leave as the start date at the new company is 4 January 2016, plus I would need it in order to serve notice beyond the current expiry of 9 December 2015.
I welcome your views. Thanks.
