Tier 2 dependent documents

Post by rajtargotra » Wed Apr 27, 2016 5:12 pm

Dear Experts,

Please advice me on my below query.

My wife came to UK on 2014 on Tier 4 student visa and I came along with her on Tier 4 dependent visa. After 04 months of time I got an assignment in Singapore and moved to Singapore from UK, currently I'm living in Singapore. Now, my wife studies has completed and she got a job and Tier 2 visa as well. So, I also would like to apply tier 2 dependent visa. Please help me answer below queries and share your valuable views.

1. can I come to UK on Tier 4 dependent visa and switch to Tier 2 dependent visa within UK .
2. Since my wife got job and tier 2 visa recently, she have only one month salary slip. Is it really required to provide last 3 months salary slips to UKBA.
3. Is it really required to provide my wife's bank statement, however I have maintained funds in my own account only.
4. How much minimum funds do I need to show and how old funds are required.

Please help me answer above queries. Thanks in advance.

Regards,
Rajneesh

1. can I come to UK on Tier 4 dependent visa and switch to Tier 2 dependent visa within UK . No, as your Tier 4 Dep visa is no longer valid. Once your wife applied for Tier 2 G, her Tier 4 visa will have been cancelled automatically.

Hi Manci,

Could you please share your views also regarding my below queries, Is it really correct that I cannot travel to UK as my Tier 4 dependent visa is no more longer valid because my wife has got Tier 2 (G) visa. Could you please re confirm me this and suggest what would be the best option for me in this case to join my wife at the earliest possible date.

Thank you once again.

Rajneesh

Hi Experts,

Could you please confirm if I can come to UK on Tier 4 dependent visa or not as my wife Tier 4 visa is switched to Tier 2 recently. Is that the case my visa is no longer valid and cancelled as main applicant visa status is changed now.

Please confirm me at the earliest as I have already booked the flight in next 10 days.

Thank you so much in advance.

Regards,
Rajneesh

When a T2G main applicant changes employment in the UK his/her dependants' PBS dependant visas remains valid until they expire or until the main applicant's leave expires if that is sooner. The is because a dependant's visa is not linked to the main applicant's sponsor, only to the main applicant.

I think, but stand to be corrected, that the same principle would apply when a T4 main applicant switches to T2G because PBS dependants are in a category overarching the tiers

@rajtargotra
bank statements are not required if your wife's sponsor certifies maintenance for you.
