Tier 4 Dependent maintenance fee query

Hi,

Can Tier 2 Main applicant switch to Tier 4 dependant visa within UK or does the spouse need to go back and apply from home country, could you please advise.

You can apply within the UK if your spouse is on a qualifying course that allows dependents.

If a Tier 4 student who is in the UK and granted for 2 years course with placement offer and had paid half of the course fee already (ex: £14000) i.e paid £7000, in case if the student wants to convert her spouse who is in the UK with Tier 2 ICT to Tier 4 student, how much maintenance funds does the student needs to show?, could you please advise.
2. Also, the spouse is here in UK under Tier 2 ICT, in this case, the funds can be shown in the Indian bank account would be fine or do we need to bring the money to UK, please advise, thank you.

They need to show enough money to pay the rest of their fees and whatever is the relevant amount for living costs. The latter is the same for everyone, and only varies for those studying in London. See the Tier 4 policy guidance section "Money for living costs", paragraph 23 onwards.

Yes.

These are both fairly basic aspects of the application. Your university will have free professional guidance for its students who are applying for a Tier 4 visa, so I recommend you use their services.

Thank you very much for your reply, this is so helpful, I have another little query, in case if the Tier 4 student got her visa and her spouse who under ICT Tier 2 visa, wanted to convert her Tier 4 Student dependent within the UK, believe the funds need to show for Tier 4 dependent as 9*680=6120 max for 9 months, would it need to be shown within the UK or if it can be shown from home country would it be fine?,
Also funds 9*680=6120 enough to show while applying Tier 4 student dependent visa or do we need to show including again the Tier 4 main applicant funds also (in case if she has already got the Tier 4 student visa), please kindly advise, thank you

I have to say the same thing again. Your university has free professional guidance for its students who are applying for a Tier 4 visa. I recommend you use their services.
