Tier 2 ICT Short Term Staff to Long Term - Applicable Dates

Hi Team,

I have a ICT Short Term Staff Visa Valid till April 20 2016, My organization is planning to convert the ICT Short Term Staff Visa to Long Term Staff so that i can continue to work in UK.

I would travel back to my home country and apply from there. But i need to supply a formal travel plan to organization.

What is the last date till which i can apply for Long Term Staff ? Or i can apply even after April 20th 2016 ?

Any help here would be great.

You can apply as soon as you get to your home country and you and your sponsor have all the paperwork in order.

Hi Thanks a lot for quick response, but i need to be in UK for ciritcal project delivery till April 15, I have already started paper work but can i apply around April 20-29 ?

Or its mandatory to apply till my current Visa is valid and the new Long Term Visa has to approved and stamped prior to April 20 ?

ICT does not lead to ILR so it doesn't really matter when you apply.

You must leave on or before your current visa expires and then as soon as you get home, you can apply, whether your current visa is still valid or not.
