Tier 2 - Leave the UK before finishing visa

Hi,

Hope someone can help me.

My ituation is:

- I got my Tier 2 visa from October/2017 to October/2022.
- On January/2020 I decided to leave the company and go to another country.

Now I'm going back to the UK again to work for the same employer.

Question:

- Do I need to apply for a new Visa?
- Is my visa still active?
- Do I lose the time I have spent in the UK?
- Am I able to get apply for the ILR in October/2022 onwards?
- All my time spent in the UK will be restarted, meaning that if I get a visa I will start from 0 again and need to count 5 years more?

Does anyone know the answer?

You need a new visa and might be subject to the 12 month Cooling off period. When you left your employer they informed ho that they no longer sponsor you.

Your absence breaks your continuity of residence as you were absent for more than 180 days.

I was supposed to wait until end of January, but now, with the new High Skilled work visa, from January onward I won't need to wait for the cooling off period to be finished!

Your absence still breaks your continuity for ilr.

I did also say "might" re cooling off period!
