Tier 2 Skilled IHS

Post by McQs » Tue Oct 25, 2022 9:57 am

Dear Seniors

I have made Visa application for skilled worker Tier 2 from Pakistan under health & care visa category. I was told that every one has to pay IHS or atleast get IHS reference number and put on application form. I filled the whole application form and even have booked the appointment for biomatric but it never asked me about IHS. Did i do do something wrong or it has recently changed.

Your information and help highly appreciated.

Regards

MC

https://www.gov.uk/healthcare-immigrati ... -needs-pay
Who does not need to pay or get an IHS reference number
You’ll be able to use the NHS without paying the surcharge or getting a reference number if:

you’re applying for indefinite leave to enter or remain
you’re a health and care worker who is eligible for a Health and Care Worker visa (or you’re their dependant)

Sometime HO put conflicting information on their website. I read somewhere that even if you are exampt or dont have to pay IHS , still you need to get reference number from NHS portal which one can get without paying. But in my case I never came across where they need that number.

Thanks a lot @CR001 for clarification!!!!!
