Tier 4 to Spouse Visa

Post by Robstin2014 » Wed Jan 09, 2019 2:23 pm

My wife is currently on a Tier 4 Student Visa which expires Sept 2019.

We meet all of the criteria to apply for a spousal visa now, if we were to apply now would she get taken off the student visa and started on the spousal visa or would the home office wait to grant her spousal visa once the student visa expires in September?

If she applies for a spouse now and it is approved, her student visa will be cancelled.

Would it be okay if her student visa was cancelled? Do I have the right thinking in applying early?

Why wouldn't it be ok?

No reason, just thought I'd check.

The tier 4 sponsor will need to be notified once the spouse visa is granted though.

Your spouse (the student) has to do it once she has her new BRP card.
