Tier 2 Visa renewal and passport expiry

Hi Friends,

I am due for my Tier 2 extension in May 2016. I have a query around my passport. I hold an Indian passport and it is due to expire in July 2016. I wanted to know if it is fine if I first get my extension done and then I apply for my passport renewal. I wanted to get the extension out of the way and then have to deal with the passport renewal. I hope there is no condition when applying for the visa around the duration left for the passport expiry.

Should be fine. There is no requirement that the passport must be valid for X months. It needs to be valid at the time of application for extension/visa.
