Tier2 ICT (Post 2010) to ILR via 10 year route

Post by faizal_mk3 » Thu Jul 16, 2020 9:05 am

Hi, I have been continuosly in UK since Nov 2015 and completing 5 years by Oct 2020 (Tier 2 ICT issued on Nov 2015). I am planning to switch to Student visa followed by PSW visa and then PBS route. By Oct 2025 I will be completing 10 years. Can I apply for ILR via the 10 years route by counting my Tier 2 ICT as well?
I can see many topics on Tier 2 ICT (Pre 2010) to ILR scenario when Tier 2 ICT leads to ILR but no posts on the above scenario. Can you please advise.

Kind Regards

All visas count for long residence ILR, even visitor visas. Obviously whether you can apply or qualify depends entirely if the rules do not change.

Not sure what is confusing you or why you think your situation is so unique (it is not) as it has been stated 1000s of times on the forum and contained in the guidance notes, that all visas count for ILR LR.

Hi CR001, thanks for your reply. I am clear now.
I understand from some of my friends ILR (10 years route) is something to do with European immigration law. Not sure if its true and if it will change post Brexit. Any advise?

Absolute nonsense. ILR based on Long Residence is a UK Immigration rule route application. It has NOTHING to do with EU immigration rules.

Stop listening to people who don't know what they are talking about. Brexit has NOTHING to do with UK Immigration rule route applications.
