Depandant ILR

Post by sushildelhi » Sat May 02, 2015 9:46 am

One of my friend talk about this site. It looks great and I hope I can also get some direction from the members for my family ILR. In short, I am going to submit my ILR (10 years) application in person same day appointment soon. My wife and son came in the UK about 10 months latter and now they both have completed about 9 years as on my dependant.
Can they get ILR directly after my ILR without going to FLR(M) under some transitional arrangement?. My current visa is Tier-4 and their visa is Tier-4 dependant. All visa validity is January 2017. What is best and quickest route for our ILR?
Thanks
sushil

If your dependants have sufficient leave for SET(LR) and are not travelling, then I don't think that they must switch to FLR(M) before being eligible to apply for SET(LR).

Thanks , ok , I will not go for flr m for wife and son then and go for their ilr directly after about 10 months from my ilr as they have tier 4 dependant visa valid until Jan 2007 and completing 10 years in 2016- many thanks for prompt advice.

Thanks, can an experience check the following sequences in the process and advise if I am wrong in this:
1) book the appointment and pay the fee of £1900
2) download and print the ilr (lr) form
3) fill the ilr form by hand and collate the documents
4) take the filled form and document and reach the premium service office on booked appointment date.
Please, is above sequence correct or I am missing something here?

Ilr over 18 when parents are without ilr

Post by sushildelhi » Sat Aug 22, 2015 4:51 pm

Hi,
Can a child over 18 be eligible for ilr on his/her own basis of 10 years as dependant visa while parents do not have ilr?
Thanks
