Can someone on Tier 2 (dependent) switch to Tier 4 (main) within UK.

Can someone on Tier 2 (dependent) switch to Tier 4 (dependent) within UK.

Also what is the criteria for deciding Home and International student. Is it depends on university or UCAS.

It does specifically say which limited categories can switch. It does not state Tier 2 dependent visa holders.

Also what is the criteria for deciding Home and International student. Is it depends on university or UCAS.

You are an international student if you require a visa to study, regardless of the university. Home students are those who are settled (ILR) or British or EU citizens and their family if they meet the specific residence requirements.

The university assesses your fee status, using the regulations and criteria that apply to the specific country of the UK in which you are studying.

Having a Tier 4 visa does not automatically rule you out of being eligible for "home" fees, but it would be quite rare.
