Tier 2 PBS dependent extension when main applicant is applying for an ILR

Dear Community,

I would like to clarify the procedure my wife should follow in order for her to extend her dependent visa. My wife is currently on a Tier 2 PBS dependent visa, expiring in February 2021 (same as my Tier 2 visa). I have met the requirement to apply for an ILR, and I will submit my ILR application by February 2021. In order for my wife to extend her visa, should she wait for my ILR application to be submitted and then submit her extension application (however, she cannot wait until a decision has been made to my application, as it will likely to be beyond her current visa validity)? And which type of visa extension should she apply to, is it still a Tier 2 PBS, or a family visa under my ILR?
