Applying for naturalization

Hi, I work in a factory,I am planning to put up my naturalization applications 28th of August, The original shift manager having issues with management is off for long time so(1) it is ok to have a relief shift manager be my professional referee?
(2)He is a British citizen but his passport is expired should that been an issue?

Hi, I got ILR last year on the basis of spouse of a settled person, now I am filling AN form online, it asked about dates when visas applied for UK inside and outside, some dates I don't remember should that been an issue? Same for jobs ,start date and end date some dates I know and some dates are approximations should it be fine? I shall be very grateful to you for your kind answers thanks

Date is “if known” question. Approximate is fine also.
