I'd like to provide an update about my citizenship application in a locked thread

Hi, I had a thread about the excess absences in the qualifying period due to covid (British citizenship application)

I then applied and I got a decision, however the thread is locked so I can't provide an update in case it helps anyone

Why should I post it here when there's already a thread for it?

The idea behind a forum thread is to keep information in one place, rather than scattered. This is especially relevant in this forum, where application updates and timelines may take months, or even years.

I understand your point.

The system locks threads after some time of inactivity to avoid other members digging out old threads and restarting them, often not relevant to the original case or even spam being posted.

I will unlock your thread so you can post your feedback - I will re-lock it later with a note to other members to open their own thread on the topic if they wish.

The thread is NOT locked, unsure why you think it is. Just update as necessary.
