Public funds. Fiancee to husband visa

Post by rachprocter4 » Sat Jun 06, 2009 12:50 pm

I'm sure all the experts here are fed up with the same question over and over. So I appoligise ahead of time.

I am british with a british son and an American fiance. He is in the uk on a fiance visa. When we are married I am under the impression we have to apply for an extention/change to a husband visa.

I am recieving working and child tax credit and housing benefit.

We already proved financally we wouldn't need anymore money to live off for the fiance visa.

The requirements for the extention/change of visa says:WE won't need any public funds. Does this mean we cannot get this extention/change?

Sorry if this does not make sense.

Thanks to all the experts that have helped in the part. You are why we are together today.

Sorry, we already have a fiance visa. We successfully got it with me on benefit. I guess my question is in which way is the financial section of the next visa different than the one we have now?
