Travel to Schengen, without visa, ILR holder and married?

Post by checockingsp1 » Thu May 29, 2014 2:29 pm

Hi.

Sorry if this has been covered already but I'd like to know if I'm eligible to travel without applying via the embassy in London.

I am a Zimbabwe national with a Zimbabwean passport, I have ILR in my passport and married to British woman. Do i need to apply for Schengen visa in order to travel or can we travel with our certificate and accompanying travel documents?

Appreciate all the help/advice here.

Regards,

Che

You'll need to apply for a Schengen visa.
(Casa, not CR001)

Cant you apply for a EEA family permit and invoke treaty rights; if I recall correctly this is free of cost too.

If it is for a holiday, no they can't. A Schengen visa for a spouse of a British Citizen should be issued free of charge.
