TRAVEL WHILE APPLICATION PROCESSING - application submitted, can I change passport?

This is more a hypothetical query, as I'm sure they've already thought of this BUT...

- My application was submitted late September 2020. Biometric appointment late November, and I'm still awaiting a decision. My passport physically is with me but I know if I used it to travel I invalidate the application.

I am desperate to now leave the UK but don't want to jeopardise losing the entire application.

If I were to order a NEW passport from my home country and leave the UK on this new passport, would be application be void? Or would they continue processing the application given it is attached to the OLD passport details submitted?

Your application will be invalidated and considered withdrawn if you leave the UK, regardless of which passport you use.

Your passport is merely a travel document. You are still the same identifiable person regardless of if you renew the passport and ukvi will get your advance passenger I formation from the Stupid.
