Travelling out of country while ILR application processing

Post by Sivasr » Wed Jun 19, 2019 4:42 pm

Hi,

I am going to submit my wife's ILR application form (standard way) next month. She has valid Tier 2 ICT dependent visa till 2021, however, she would be eligible for ILR in next month after staying 5 years. My Question is - can she travel out of country while ILR application is under processing as it normally takes 6 months now?

Please advice would be much appreciated. Thanks

No she cannot travel. If she leaves the UK, her application will be considered withdrawn. If she has travel plans, then apply for ILR when she returns or postpone the travel.

No it does not take 6 months. It takes about 8 weeks.

Thanks CR001.
Lot of people posted (on ILR processing time thread) regarding their ILR application form processing was being delayed for more than 6 months. hence, thought 6 month is a normal time for most of the people.

Likely you are reading only about tier 1 entrepreneur members applying for ilr as they take long. Most others do not anymore.
