Two jobs. One is paid via cheque. Will this be an issue during Spouse visa application?

Spouse Visa, Two jobs

Hi,

I'm about to have two jobs. One is Monday to Friday with NHS where I earn £19,000 per year since 2016 plus my second job (retail) during Saturday and Sunday where I'd earn £4000 annually starting from January 2018.

When I start applying for my wife's spouse visa after 6 months, do I needto mention about my second job during the application as I already meet the financial requirement from my NHS job? Please let me know as I want to do everything correctly. Thanks.

In my opinion if the financial requirement can be met with one job and the relevant paper work is available for proving that then preferably the second job shouldn't be mentioned to avoid any confusion.

Ahhh I see. So it's not mandatory to mention about 2nd job as long as I meet the financial requirement and have the relevant documentation from my 1st job isn't it?

I don't see any requirement to list all sources of income.

The application form

states on Page 27 of 79

You only need to provide evidence of the income and/or cash savings required to show you meet the financial requirement.

Ahhh I see. I didn't know that. So in this case, I'll only mention about my one main job (NHS) as it meets the financial requirement. I don't need to mention about my second job (retail). I'm quite worried if this would create an issue if I don't mention about it when they look up in the HMRC system and find that I've got 2 jobs but I've mentioned only 1.

I understand your worry, but as far as the UKVI is concerned, they just want to see that you've made the financial requirement minimum, in whichever way (as long as it's legal

)

Some people work, and use the Cash Savings route only, and therefore do not need to list any income.

Conversely, if someone meets the finanial requirement from a job, they needn't list every asset in a calculation.

Quick question. I've got 2 jobs (to meet financial requirement). One is £9216 per year (paid into account-BACS) and the other job (second) is £10,000 per year (net amount paid via cheque).

Just concerned, as I'm getting paid via cheque from my second job, would this cause an issue for my wife's spouse visa application? My payslips states the payment method as "cheque". All of the correct amount of taxes and national insurance contribution are paid on time to HMRC.

Please let me know soon as I'm really nervous if the caseworker calls and suspect for no reason. I don't want to risk a refusal because of something like this. Many thanks.

In your initial post you said to earn £19000 per year from 1st job and £4000 from second job. Why now these figures changed in your that post.
