Family spouse visa renewal

Post by titi » Fri Jan 10, 2020 12:50 pm

My wife and 2 kids joined me on tier2 visa. Their visas expire 2020 April now I have Indefinite leave. Which route do I extend their visas. My 15yr old son was born in UK in 2004 and we returned to Zimbabwe before he joined in jan 2018. We had no stay at the time. Any help

Tier 2 dependent extension. It will be a 3 year extension.
My 15yr old son was born in UK in 2004 and we returned to Zimbabwe before he joined in jan 2018.

A UK born child is entitled to register as British (before the age of 18) on form MN1. Current cost is £1023.

Yes. the rules allow this provided you got ILR based on Tier 2 and not through 10 years long residence.

Your UK born child does NOT require a visa extension and you could have registers the child as British as soon as you got ILR.
