Language Requirement Issue

Post by lisanncruz » Sat Feb 03, 2024 10:28 pm

So having submitted my application and got my appointment date for biometrics I then realised that the original English test I did will not be valid for the application. I had taken IELTS General Training rather than IELTS General Training UKVI  I've since taken the latter test and got the minimum required. I am going to be okay just to upload the certificate and put in a cover letter explaining what has happened? And explaining to ignore what I have put on the application form? I know I could cancel and start again but it would obviously delay me as I await refunds and potentially end up with a later appointment date.

Send in the new IELTS certificate before you give your biometrics. Cover letter - keep it simple and don’t over explain

VFS Global Passport Collection

Post by lisanncruz » Mon Feb 12, 2024 1:07 pm

If I did not pick the courier option on VFS Global 'added services' section does this mean the passport will automatically be set for collection? The Philippines VFS seems almost impossible to contact on this? They have no form or number on their website. Hope someone knows!

You will be notified when the passport is ready for collection if you did not choose the courier option.
