My timeline is like your's
Biometric 20 March
Interview 24 April
May 4th mail received saying case is complex and will not follow the normal service timelines (i had chosen priority service).
I sent 3 emails so far (5pounds each) and spoken with the UKVI help desk (1pound per min ). everytime they promise to escalate but end up getting no answer.
my problem is i did the application overseas and had to give my passport. i have been not able to travel for 60days now and problem is no end in sight.

Application: 10th March 2019
Biometrics: 13th March 2019
Interview: 10th April 2019

No end in sight. I called and emailed UKBI multiple times and every time they said they will “escalate” the situation.

I have a UK citizen as a partner in my business and had him contact his MP. MP got in contact with Home Office and all they said was the application is being process and they can’t give much information.

I have contacted a few lawyers to ask for advice and most of them said their own clients haven’t been approved yet and the wait should be between 3-4 months as there’s a huge backlog

Initial Application :

Boimetrics done on 18th March 19 ( Paid Priority )
Interview on 28March 19 ( Team )
Complex email on 3 April
Complex same email on 3 May
Emailed, Called Few times
Email, Case has be escalated on 9 May
No update after that.

many emails/calls done (dont think this helps as answer was always: awaiting decision
last time was asking for passport as i had paid for priority fee and found out that i can ask for passport=pass back with retrospect (i could not travel for 60days ). then got an email saying decision has been made and wait for vfs to contact.. they did not contact so went to them and passport was ready for more than 4days with visa stamped.

best of luck for everyone waiting.. the delays are for the huge backlog..if you managed to apply for tier 1 entreprenue this is a great oppourtunity that will no longer open.

I am happy to share that I have been been granted Tier 1 Entrepreneur Visa as initial applicant.
Below is my timeline / journey of my visa application to success.

Independent Director of UK registered company since Nov18,

- Online Application at VFS New Delhi, India: 04-Mar-19
- Biometric done: 12-Mar-19
- Application received at sheffield: 25-Mar-19
- Mail from Sheffield office for complexity: 04-Apr-19
- Interview invitation received: 07-Apr-19
- Interview done: 11-Apr-19

..
...Long wait.....(escalated the case to UKVI through mail after paying £5.48 but received very generic reply)

- Finally Received SMS from VFS (No email): 31-05-19 ("The processed application for GWFXXXXXXXXX will be delivered to the chosed address."
- Received T1 Entr. Visa and approval letter: 01-Jun-19

I did not use any solicitor and filed my visa case independently but my sincere Thanks to immigration board moderators, Gurus/Experts and applicants who shared their experience in detail which helped me.

From my case I learned that patience is the key, which I do agree sometimes is really difficult to keep due to the uncertainty but that's the only way we have. Be Positive.

Tier 1 Ent Extension Timeline:

Submitted Application: 21 August 2018
Complex Letter: 19th September 2018
Emailing confirming interview: 3rd April 2019
Interview: 17th April 2019
Visa and Passport: 29th May 2019

Tier 1 Visa Granted (Was switching from T1 GE to T1 E, so within the UK)

Under the new system
Submitted Application: 18th April 2019 (prior to previous visa expiring)
Booked Appointment for Biometric: 20th May 2019
BRP Dispatched: 4th June 2019
BRP Received: 7th June

Under the new system, you have to book an appointment for BRP fingerprint scanning and document verification yourself depending on what is available across the many centers in the UK and you keep all the documents/passport with you and only submit an online application

Literally took them 10 working days to dispatch my BRP I'm impressed!

My physical applicatuon submission was on the 10th April in vfs Dubai standard processing.
We got an email saying the case is complexed. Escalated case twice.
