Delay in UK Family Settlement Visa Appeal

Hello Everyone

My partner is from Pakistan and I live in the UK. I applied for UK Unmarried partner and my visa got refused. I appealed in September 2015 and in nearby January i got a letter saying that I will get a hearing date in March 2015 but unfortunately i didnt get any date . I called the UK Immigration office . They said there is a delay because court is dealing with huge pile of appeals. Now its almost going to be one year since submitted appeal.My kids are depressed which makes them. What can I do expedite the process except Praying . Maybe contact an MP ??
