Tier 1 General dependent - Child Under 18

Post by Prajesh Shah » Mon Jun 05, 2017 12:45 pm

I have Tier 1 General visa and applied for ILR. I have applied for my wife as a tier 1 general dependent as she is not qualified for ILR. We have baby girl she born in India and came on Tier 1 General dependent and following questions.

1. Do I need to apply for my daughter for Tier 1 General dependent visa to extend her stay in the UK.
2. if I have had not applied yet and her current visa has been expired that means does she overstayed? and what's happen now?

1. Yes she must extend

2. Yes, she is an overstayer and could create problems.

Why did you not apply in time?

If her leave expired from 6th April, then she has 14 days from the date of expiry to extend.
