UK Tier 1(General) Dependent Visa/English Requirement

Post by addyboy » Sat Apr 30, 2016 2:58 pm

Hi All

Thanks for sharing all the important information and experience. However, I am a bit confused and need some assistance/expert advice before applying for a visa.

I(main applicant) am on Tier 1 General Visa and eligible to apply for ILR soon. However, my wife (dependent) has only spent 2 years in UK and will only apply for visa extension with me. She is also a citizen of Australia but will apply for her visa on Pakistani passport as she came to UK on that passport. She is a Master's degree holder from Australia.

My question is:
As she is on dependent visa, do I still have to show that her qualification was taught in English? On Ukba website, it is mentioned that if you hold an Australian Nationality, you don't have to prove your English Language.

Hoping to receive some good/expert advice soon.

Thanks & Best Regards
Addy
