application sent 27th May 2010 (special delivery-next day)
received by HO 28th May 2010
fee deducted 28th May 2010 (payment by card)
ack letter received 2nd June 2010- dated 28th May
PSW Visa stamped-2nd July 2010
PSW received-6th July 2010

My timeline:

May 4th 2010: PSW Application sent with next day delivery
May 5th 2010: HO received my application
May 13th 2010: HO deducted my fees (Cheque)
May 17th 2010: Received my acknowledgement letter (dated May 13th)
June 2nd 2010: PSW Visa stamped
June 4th, 2010: PSW received

Applied in PEO (Croydon) today and got my visa today
- Apppoitment 8:15 (Building open 7:30 for security check)
- Call 2 counter 9am for interview (no question ask by the officer)
- 10am finished and asked to wait for some check result 2 be back
- 11am all check result back
- Visa ready 12pm

I got my psw today it took about 6 weeks for me since I first applied for it. here is my time line

PSW applied: 15 May (Sat)
HO received: 18 May (Tue)
Payment taken out: 24 May (Mon)
Acknowledgment letter: dated 25 May(Tue), received 28 May (Fri)
PSW Received: 26 June (Sat)

Hello all, applied for PSW today using premium in-person appointment at crodon office. appointment was for 9.00am and got my 2yr PSW visa by 12.30pm! Was very happy! All the best to everyone who is going to apply.

I would suggest just making absolutely sure you follow UKBA guidance with bank statements and letter from uni and all should go well. All the best

Recieved my visa today! ( quite lucky coz i booked my flights home yesterday

)

so all together heres what happened with me:

POSTED APPLICATION: JULY 1
PAYMENT WITHDRAWN: JULY 2
RECIEVED LETTER : JULY 5 (DATED JULY 2)
RECIEVED VISA: JULY 20.

It took 15 days after the aknowladgement letter.

Collected my passport today from the Royal Mail delivery as they tried to deliver it on Saturday and I wasn't in. Here is the timescale for my application.

Application sent 7th July 2010 (special delivery-next day)
Received by HO 8th July 2010
Fee deducted 8th July 2010 (payment by card)
Ack letter received 12th July- dated 8th July
PSW received-7th August 2010

Hello all! This forum really helped calm my nerves while waiting for my visa, and as I have received it today, I decided to post my time-line as well.

Posted application: 12 August
Received by HO: 13 August
Payment taken out: 16 August (paid by card)
Letter received:19 August (dated 13 of August)
Visa receieved: 06 September
Visa dated: 01 September

Total time: 3 weeks 3 days

Same Here man....It took me almost 11 weeks to get my visa...but finally got it today...Here's my timeline

POSTED APPLICATION: JUNE 28
PAYMENT WITHDRAWN: JUNE 29
RECIEVED LETTER : JULY 5 (DATED JUNE 29)
VISA RECEIVED: 06 SEPTEMBER
VISA DATED: 01 SEPTEMBER

So, whoever's waiting for their visa for long time shall just have patience and you'll get it eventually.

here is my time line

Applicatoin sent on 9th sept
Fees deducted on 10th sept (paid by credit card)
No Acknowledgment from home office
visa recieved on 27th sept which is today so it tuk me 17 days to recieved my visa

Here's my timeline:

Applied: 7th September 2010
Received: 8th September 2010 (Next day Special Delivery)
Payment taken: 14th September 2010 (paying by Cheque)
Acknowledgment letter received: 20th September 2010 (dated 15th Sept)
Visa received: 29th September 2010 (visa stamped 27th September 2010)

Only took 20 days!! I'm happy

Hello all
At last I got my visa 2day after waiting 6 weeks and 2 days. My timeline is

Application (PSW) sent on : 17th August
Application received on : 18th August
No acknowledgement letter received or issued
Application fees paid by postal order.
Visa received on 30th September.

Long time takes but it comes atlast. So good luck 4 every1 who waiting 4 visa.

1.Sent application on Saturday the 4th of September
2.Money deducted on Monday the 6th of September
3.Acknowledgement letter dated 6th September received on the 8th of September.
4. Request for further Info (re:statements) received on the 20th of September via email from caseworker (3 day window, sent info by post on the 23rd)
5.PSW dated 28 September received on the 1st of October

Sent as a registered letter on Saturday the 25th of September.
Received by HO Tuesday the 28th of September. Money taken the same day.
Finally received my passport with the visa dated 15th of October!!
