Travel close to visa expiry

Hi,
My husband is currently in uk on tier 2 ict. His visa is going to expire on 24th july, 19. He is planning a trip to india from 23rd june to 13th july. Is there any chance he will not be allowed to enter uk as he will not have much visa remaining on 13th?
All his colleagues are recommending not to travel as he will not be allowed to return.
