No email from UKVI before collectiong passport

Hello,

I have applied for a student visa, and I have provided my biometrics and documents.

I had no interview. I had no emails from UKVI.

After 2 weeks, I recieved an email from TLScontact to collect my passport.

Is it approved visa or refused visa?

Anticipating is killing me, and I cannot collect my passport now due to a lockdown.

How would anyone here know that?

As far as I know, when UKVI sends an email containing "visa application has been issued" , it usually means that you got the visa. However, if it is "visa application has been conculded" , it usually means your visa has been refused.

I have recieved neither of these emails. So I am asking if anyone had the same experience and what does it usually mean?

Those two different lines generally refer to visitor visas.

For you, you will have to wait till you collect your passport before you will know.

Hi. I thought I should add my timeline for students who are are still waiting for their student visa applications :

6/01/21 : visa online application
11/01/21 : biometrics and passport ( VAC )
No email of acceptance from UKVI
15/01/21 : Email from university acknowledging my CAS has been ‘Used’
22/01/21 : Decision made email from UK TLC . No email from UKVI.
28/01/21 : Passport Collection. Visa approved !

I did not receive any email from UKVI During the whole process . Good luck to all applicants !
