UKVCAS

Hello
I had an UKVCAS appointment on Monday and whereby my documents were checked and Bio metric done. The staff who did this at the end confirmed that the application has been submitted. Today morning I visited my account in their website and i could still see all of my uploaded documents. As the submission was confirmed word of mouth, is this normal or should i have received any email confirmation for my submission and also why is my documents still visible in my UKVCAS account.
I could do with some clarity.

Please can i just ask you that did you just check any appointments availability yourself on their website? or you received e mail from them to come for Biometric? Thank you in advance for your reply.
