Ah, interesting. This rather supports my posts in a previous thread pointing out an area of uncertainty about removals/bans because the former Immigration Minister said it was quite possible for someone who has been served with removal directions to make a voluntary departure, which is what you appear to have done. I wasn't hiding to overstay there.
I got my appeal hearing in front of AIT in Jan 2009.
