Saw a post online with a reply from citizenshipinfo that "all ceremony invites arw issued".

Most likely, unless you were invited, you'd need tow ait till December or something.

The wait begins for the December ceremony dates to be confirmed!
2-5 December the Convention Centre Dublin is already booked for something else.
9-11 are the only dates in December that the Killarney Convention Centre doesn't have anything on their schedule.

So 9-11 December in either Dublin or Killarney perhaps?

I think the European Cell and Gene Therapy Congress will take place at The Convention Centre Dublin (The CCD) from Monday 02 to Thursday 05 December 2024.

Be careful when applying for you passport.

Those of us who were naturalised last June were - wrongly - instructed that as long as we sent a national passport, ONE in-date government-issued ID would suffice.

Turned out the wording of the emails had not been updated to reflect the fact that the naturalisation certs no longer have a photo and that, as a result, the Passport Service now requires TWO forms of ID.

Having to submit a second ID set us all back weeks.

Sorry, This is wrong. I sent only one document Id and got passport in one month. PPS was the document. Not even a certified one.

OK, Leo, I stand corrected.
Quite a few of us were asked for a 2nd photo ID, welll into the passport application process.

I really don't know why tbh. Did you gave them a pps? If am correct they really want pps. Perhaps they need to update on the site, that multiple documents should be sent with application so that application won't be delayed.

I sent them an original UK passport. I really thought that would be enough. We don't live in the ROI so we don't have PPS cards.
Someone on the other thread did speak to a customer service agent who apparently said they had in fact neglected to update the standard wording in the original emails, which should have asked for 2 IDs from the outset.
But the fact you were able to submit only one sort of contradicts this.
Oh well. Our passport has finally been despatched so it's a huge relief.
Am very grateful to everyone on this forum.

Upcoming Citizenship Ceremony – Monday 2nd and Tuesday 3rd December 2024.

The next ceremonies are taking place on Monday, 2nd December and Tuesday 3rd December 2024 at the INEC Killarney.

Thanks for flagging that
(found here: https://www.irishimmigration.ie/upcomin ... mber-2024/ and https://www.irishimmigration.ie/how-to- ... eremonies/)

I wonder if this will be for everyone* who received a letter in October, or if there will also be a Dublin event.

Hopefully the coming election doesn't impact this... I can't imagine it will?

In theory it is for everyone who has received an approval but yet to be invited to a ceremony. The reality, however, is that a small number of people who were approved just now or are to be approved in the coming days, will miss out if they have reached the cap. These people would be invited to the next ceremony.

The upcoming election will not impact this as the election date will be close to the ceremony date, so even if the current government is voted out, it will still take weeks before a new government is formed. Until that happens, the current government is still in charge of everything.

Some people have received invitations today via email - a number were received in their Spam folders, so I advise everyone to check there.

May I ask if invitations come exclusively over email, or we should monitor the letterbox too? Also, did anyone from Dublin receive an invitation? Thanks!

Email only. There will likely be a batch for Dec 3rd ceremonies at 4pm today. Dublin residents were included in invitations to Dec 2nd, so no reason to believe they won’t be included in Dec 3rd invites.

I idiotically cleared out my Spam folder yesterday (emails now unrecoverable) and I'm terrified I deleted my invitation.

I understand you have to select 'Yes I will attend' or 'No I cannot attend' - has anyone any insight into whether a reminder email may be sent if no response is given?

Guidance is quite clear on the Dept. of Justice website that they cannot/will not confirm invitations to ceremonies if you email them.

May I ask what is the sender's email address that it is coming from? Does it say CITIZENSHIP as a previous email I received or something else? Trying to figure out what to keep my eyes open for...!

The email was sent from: Department of Justice Events <citizenshipinfo@justice.ie>

In my case the email was titled: You're invited to Citizenship Ceremony December 3 11am!
