Upcoming Ceremony in 2023/4

Is anyone available regarding upcoming ceremony? Would it be like summer time - June or something else? Thanks

Too early for that, I'd say.
Judging by previous ceremonies, there's a chance for one during spring, but it's just me throwing theoretical suggestions.

Yeah it’s way too early to speculate. Usually there will be 3-4 ceremonies spread across the whole year, but it depends on a lot of things (availability of the Minister, number of applications received, number of applications reviewed and approved, availability of the venue etc).

I assume that the location needs to be booked and other items coordinated. Looking at the last one, I see they announced the December 2022 on November 1st. But I would think that things were being planned well before that posting on the webpage.

They will just let us know 1 month before the ceremony that's it, like they did for December 2022.

I have my thoughts about, based on dates of ceremonies prior to 2023 (excluding covid years)
1. If we have no any news in 1st week Feb, we are missing March
2. If we have no any news in 1st week of March, we should skip Apr (for exp in 2019 it was on Apr) and May (cause no sense doing that in May, while June is close to) and June is highly likely
Based on the information as they usually inform in 4-6 weeks prior to real ceremony and fact they usually make 2 in a single year (non common case 3)
We still have plenty people are waiting from 2021 (which brings them a bad statistics for 2 years awaiting), some still from 19-20 (regret guys if you are from that branch) and already 2022 is upcoming
Also as minister said in debates, every year 12000-13000 applications, based on statistics from 5th Jan 2023 in 2022 it was only 7500 covered, which means every year 5000-6000 people go to its stack of awaiting list, too many and backlog is growing anyway and the the cases from 2023 go with application's number together with eVetting (what?), will those applications be approving quickly? Don't know, looks like it could be for the count of other applications to show "great response time" and "improve" theirs KPIs I presume

The statistics booklet that you're probably referring to (https://www.irishimmigration.ie/wp-cont ... t-2022.pdf), which has 7039 as the number of certs issued, is January - June, so Dec ceremony isn't covered. Safe to add another 2-3 thousand certs to this, so about 10k or even more; latest known amount for 2 days is 5000.

5,000 candidates became Irish citizens at the Killarney Convention Centre.

They wouldn't want to show too much of a difference with last year's numbers I'm sure.

If they do one in May then definitely they won't do it in June, would be most likely in July or August. So if they do once every 4 months it will be evenly spread around. But anyways we will find out soon hopefully.

Yes, they look like they are trying to make the 2023 applications fast to try to fudge the figures for KPI purposes! Meanwhile, the 2021 and 2022 applicants are left to languish! Someone needs to contact their TD to get them to ask in the Dáil! Otherwise a FOI request asking re stage of applications based on year submitted!

I just saw this on my social media that one of my solicitor friend posted an approval letter from CMU5 for their client’s application back in 2021. The letter is dated 1 Feb 2023. This means a March or April ceremony is likely.

It does not mean anything, plenty people have approval already with paying fee (even from Dec22-Jan23), but nothing has been arranged yet, 100% not March already, they usually ask about ceremony in 4-6 weeks in advance, but nothing so far. April? Could be if any news will be in March, but not sure, I would do on June on their place

I paid on 8 December, so over 6 month wait. Tough process that will be almost two full years from the date I mailed my app. My wife mailed on same day and she does not even have e-vetting letter yet.

I wonder how long it will be for invitations so people can book accomodations?
