Urgent. request input tier 2 ict to tier 2 general dependent

Hi all. I am in the UK in a tier 2 ict long term valid till july.( issued in 2015)

My wife is my dependent and has got a job where the employer is willing to sponsor tier 2 general.

I am aware she has to go to india to switch.
Let s say she goes to India in July to apply for her t2 general visa. If my ict t2 visa expires in the mean time can I apply with her from india as her dependent.

Also, is there any minimum requirement on my ict t2 validity to switch in country as her tier 2 dependent if I want to do it once she is back.

In both the above cases is there a cooling off period that I need to serve?

If you remain in the UK and you have a valid visa, you can switch only once she has her visa and is back in the UK. If she does not have her visa by the time your visa expires, you need to leave the UK by the expiry date and would then have to apply from your home country as a dependent.

No minimum validity on your current visa but you must still have a valid visa to switch to dependent.

Cooling off period does not apply to you if you are switching to dependent visa.
