Urgent Travel Back Home-but dependent has not received BRP

Hi All,

I applied for Tier 2 ICT VISA extension for me and my wife on 17th December, 2018.
We received passports for both on 11th of Feb and following day on 12th, I received my BRP as well.However, my wife is still waiting for her BRP(she did not had NI number when we applied for extension) and we need to travel to India on 2nd of March.
I have couple of questions here.
1. Can she travel to India without BRP , do we need to show BRP while entering India
2. If the 1st answer is yes, as she is not planning to come back to UK any time soon, can her BRP be delivered by person (I will travel to India again )
3. How long it usually takes to get a BRP for person who do not have NI initially?

No. The BRP is only relevant to the UK. She will need it to get on a plane and enter the UK.

Should be fine.

It can take a while.

Just to confirm the 1st point,
Travel to India , should not be a hassle correct, I mean immigration officers in India will not be asking for a proof of residence permit of UK, only when she travels back to UK she would need a BRP>
